New works by Michael Baldwin (Weisslich), Dominic Lash (The Dominic Lash Quartet), James Saunders (Bath Spa University), Laurie Tompkins (Slip), as well as 840’s own Alex Nikiporenko and Nicholas Peters, will be performed alongside Sunday by Vitalija Glovackyte (ACM Ensemble) and EVERYTHING YOU OWN HAS BEEN TAKEN TO A DEPOT SOMEWHERE by Jennifer Walshe (Brunel University). Violinist Ruben Zilberstein will be joined by Alex and Nick performing on a variety of objects that range from pom poms and party horns (Walshe) to Sainsbury’s bags (Tompkins) and phone vibration motors (Glovackyte).

840 is a London-based experimental music concert series, founded in 2014 by the composers Alex Nikiporenko and Nicholas Peters. Committed to championing new pieces by composers that we believe in, each concert in the series focuses on a particular chamber instrumentation. Buy now.
