Psappha and the Burgess Foundation present a second concert of chamber works by Anthony Burgess and composers who influenced him. The programme includes Debussy (Syrinx), Ravel (Le Tombeau de Couperin), Beethoven (Cello Sonata in G Minor) and three pieces by Burgess including his Quartet for Flute, Oboe, Cello and Piano, possibly the finest of his known chamber compositions. This is a rare opportunity to hear Burgess’s music played at the highest level in the city of his birth.
