Manchester Pride Chamber Music returns for an eighth season of concerts devoted to LGBT composers and performers. Manchester is still the only Pride event in the world that regularly programmes classical music in its calendar, and Superbia is delighted to welcome some fantastic internationally-renowned artists and young, local talent to take part in the 2015 series. In the first of the concerts, tenor Dom Stewart is joined by pianists Adam Taylor and Rachel Tavener for a diverse programme of piano music and songs, including Samuel Barber’s incredible Piano Sonata, Songs from Candide by Leonard Bernstein, Manuel de Falla’s Seven Spanish Folk Songs, and the UK premiere of Trittico by the American composer Byron Adams.
