Pianist Kate Halsall presents an inventive programme of electroacoustic and mixed media works for solo keyboards by diverse UK composers, supported by Sound Scotland.

New works commissioned by soundfestival from Scottish based composers Pippa Murphy and Diana Salazar, alongside works by Linda Buckley and Rose Dodd. Expect cutting edge sounds and ambient and immersive soundscapes.

The programme also includes works from Nico Muhley for keys, percussion and tape, and improvisation for hang drum, keyboards and cello.

+ Music from the 21st century for the 21st century; ahead of her upcoming collaboration as a curator with the Welsh orchestra Sinfonia Cymru, Delia Stevens combines pieces from her “Algorhythms” programme exploring the power of social media with percussion, improvisation, loop pedal and tape music.

Andy Akiho – 21 cello, percussion and loop pedal
Nico Muhly – Pillaging Music piano, percussion and tape
Improvisation – cello, keyboards and hang drum
Jacob TV – Grab It! percussion and tape
