To celebrate the world premiere of Ed Carter & David Cranmer’s new work Smoke Signals, FutureEverything invites a series of musicians to create unique, one-off performances in response to this haunting sonic and visual installation. Jonathan Hering is a Liverpool-based composer, performer, producer and musical director. Commissions have included Lachrymose, for 100-voice choir at Turner Contemporary, Margate 2013; Rhapsody for Clarinet and Wheelchair Basketball Team, an audio-visual work for the Bluecoat and DaDaFest 2012; and Veil of Nightshade, a site-specific work for Octopus’ Full of Noises Festival 2013 in Barrow-in-Furness; with works also performed by members of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic. Please note that the work emits smoke and is in a darkened room. Although the space is ventilated, viewing of the work may not suitable for those with respiratory problems. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free entry. Festival Pass Holders will be given priority entry.
