Join us for an exciting evening of poetry by two of our finest Northern writers, Peter Sansom and Grevel Lindop. Manchester’s own Grevel Lindop will be launching his brand new collection, Luna Park, which draws upon themes of magic, dreams and the nocturnal. Whilst the well-loved director of the Poetry Business, Peter Sansom, will be launching his recent Carcanet collection, Careful What You Wish For. The event is free and all are welcome.

Grevel Lindop was born in Liverpool and now lives in Manchester, where he was formerly a Professor of English at the Victoria University. His books include A Literary Guide to the Lake District; The Opium Eater: A Life of Thomas De Quincey; and editions of Chatterton, De Quincey and Robert Graves’s the White Goddess. He has published six volumes of poems, most recently Luna Park (2015).

Peter Sansom was born in 1958 in Nottinghamshire. For ten years Peter taught the MA Poetry at Huddersfield University, and more recently he was Fellow in Creative Writing at Leeds University. He was Company Poet with Prudential. He has published six Carcanet books. He is also a director with Ann Sansom of the Poetry Business in Sheffield, where they edit The North magazine and Smith/Doorstop Books. Free Entry. Sign up here.
