Robert Forster is an Australian singer – songwriter, best known for his work with songwriting partner Grant McLennan, with whom he co founded The Go Betweens in 1977. For much of the 1980’s the band were based in the UK, releasing a total of six albums in that decade.
On 6th May 2006 Grant McLennan died.
Robert Forster’s memoir of his friendship Grant McLennan, ‘Grant & I‘, is published in the UK by Omnibus Press – copies of the book will be available to buy on the night.
At this special event at the the International Anthony Burgess Foundation, Robert Forster will talk about his life, his career, and his new book with DJ/writer Dave Haslam. Robert will also perform a short acoustic set. The evening will conclude with a book signing.
