In collaboration with Penned in the Margins, we present a reading by two of Britain’s most exciting young poets. Selected by the Poetry Book Society as the one of the Next Generation Poets in 2014 and shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Poem in 2016, Melissa Lee-Houghton’s work explores mental health and what it means to be human. Her debut collection A Body Made of You was published by Penned in the Margins in 2011. Her follow-up, Beautiful Girls, was released in 2013.

Luke Kennard is the author of numerous works of poetry and short fiction. His first collection of poems, The Solex Brothers, was published in 2005, and won an Eric Gregory Award. His second collection, The Harbour Beyond the Movie, made him the youngest writer to be nominated for the Forward Prize for Best Collection. His latest work, 2016’s Cain, covers everything from interfaith dialogue and genealogy to zombies. For more information and tickets click here.
