Anotherway Now hosts Peter Tatchell as part of the ‘Brave Choices’ series of talks. Hear his unique and remarkable story of campaigning hard for LGBT and other human rights.

Peter TatchellPeter is a legendary activist who has spent over five decades standing up for the rights of the world’s minorities. His relentless campaigning for LGBT rights has garnered a huge amount of attention – and, at times, considerable controversy. Despite being forced to live in a modest mini-fortress of armoured doors and escape ladders, Peter makes his voice heard and his feelings known. The subject of physical, emotional and political abuse, our speaker has as much resilience as he does stubbornness. In short, whether you agree with all his views or not, he’s a man whose courage you can only admire.

In what promises to be a fascinating evening, Peter will discuss who inspires him and how he stays motivated in the face of his most virulent opposition. Our audience will be given a unique insight into the realities of what happens when you put human rights above personal risk. In the incredible setting of the International Anthony Burgess Foundation, we’ll hear Peter’s personal story of bravery, controversy, rebellion and resistance.

Tickets are £12 for adults and £6 for students: on sale now on the Anotherway Now website.
