**We regret to announce this event has been cancelled due to Dave Haslam’s unforeseen unavailability. Please contact Quaytickets to arrange refunds**

Mark Stewart discusses his work, career and ideas with DJ/writer Dave Haslam. One of the most intriguing people ever to use a microphone, Mark Stewart came to prominence in late 1970s Bristol fronting the Pop Group – politically-engaged and sonically-adventurous with an intensity matched by few bands before or since. Mark worked with Adrian Sherwood of On-U Sound through the 1990s and beyond, releasing records firstly as Mark Stewart and the Maffia, then as a solo artist. Reformed, the Pop Group released their first studio album in 35 years, ‘Citizen Zombie‘, in February 2015. Mark will be taking audience questions, followed by a signing session. This is the latest in Dave Haslam’s ‘Close Up’ series of onstage interviews which have featured the likes of Mark E Smith, John Lydon, Maxine Peake, Will Self, and Neneh Cherry. Follow https://twitter.com/Mr_Dave_Haslam for updates and purchase tickets at Quaytickets.com. Doors open 6.15, event starts 7pm. Suitable for ages 14+
