Join us for this very special showcase of Unbound-published talent. Katy Brand reads an exclusive chapter from her semi-autobiographical novel Brenda Monk is Funny, exploring the trials and tribulations of being a female stand-up comedian. Writer and actor Robert Llewellyn, best known for his role in hit sitcom Red Dwarf, reads from his Utopian novel News from Gardenia, which, avoiding the usual post-apocalyptic vision so beloved of Hollywood, predicts a future where we made the right choices about technology, fuel and how we live our lives. Manchester-based Shaun Usher launches a beautiful book Letters of Note, based on his phenomenally successful blog which gathers and sorts fascinating letters, postcards, telegrams, faxes and memos into an eclectic mix of the humour, seriousness, sadness and brilliance that makes up our lives. £6/£4. Book on 0843 208 0500 or via Quay Tickets. A Manchester Literature Festival event.
