Soul Stories: poetry workshop
- Fri 22 Jul 2011

What is there to say that hasn’t already been said about war or slavery or revolution? How do historical events relate to our own personal life journeys? This workshop will focus on the transcendent power of surrealist poetry to express a history of violence and oppression. Referring to the work of Amiri Baraka and Paul Celan and Segun’s own poetry, this workshop by Segun Lee-French will focus on the use of musical and other non-literary structures to devise an innovative poetic form and language.
