An evening of films, readings and conversation exploring the experimental work of BS Johnson, the great lost British novelist of the 1960s, and contemporary and correspondent with Anthony Burgess. Join us for a celebration of his achievement. Writer and broadcaster David Quantick will consider Johnson’s moving image work, including the films he made for television; Johnson’s films You’re Human Like The Rest Of Them and The Unfortunates will be given rare screenings; actor and writer James Quinn will give a reading of BS Johnson’s prose; and there’ll be a screening of the artist Beatrice Gibson’s film inspired by Johnson, House Mother Normal. Not to be missed.
