Theatre: Steven Carne – Special Measures
- Fri 16 Nov 2018

- Free
Ever wondered why the waiting lists are getting longer?
Why A&E is always overcrowded?
Why your local services are shrinking ?
Do you know your ACS from your MCP?
Your ICP from your ACO – or even your PAC!
Join accidental NHS activist Steven Carne for a night of song, NHS wisdom and poetic psychotherapy. Special Measures is a unique musical comedy web of parliamentary intrigue, media skullduggery and rubber duck battles.
Not every show mashes up Sinatra, Englebert Humperdink, Lilly Allen and Stephen Sondheim with NHS Funding, Clinical Need and dirty politics – but that’s what he does. You’ll laugh, you may cry but one thing is for sure – you’ll leave knowing a lot more about the NHS! And hopefully you’ll leave wanting to join the fight to save our most precious institution – the National Health Service.
“…the tears, the laughter but most of all the determination to fight for the future of our beloved NHS. Special Measures leaves you a little shocked yet uplifted and inspired to do something. Not to be missed!”
Doors and Drinks from 6.00pm. Show 7.30pm Ends 9.30pm.
