Come and visit our friendly cafe on Cambridge Street. We serve a simple lunch menu of fresh sandwiches, deli boards, soups, and salads, all made on site daily, and hot breakfasts until 11.30am.

We also offer indulgent cakes, homemade brownies, and savoury snacks to pair with our loose leaf teas and freshly ground coffee provided by R Coffee of Didsbury.

We are proud to use locally based suppliers to provide quality ingredients from the area, and this will be reflected in our new menu, which will change often according to the fantastic variety of seasonal produce available.

We source as many vegetables as possible from the Manchester Veg People of Chorlton, who send us organic seasonal produce that is grown locally to demand, minimising waste and maximising profits for small growers.

Our meat comes from Frost’s Butchers, also based in Chorlton and a local favourite with a deserved reputation for providing the highest quality meat.

Our aim is to become the perfect place to grab a quick lunch hour bite to eat, but also a quiet space to power up your laptop and spend an afternoon hard at work on our free superfast fibre-optic wifi.

We also offer catering for up to 100 people at your in-house event and are proud to cater for all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. Please get in touch with events@anthonyburgess.org for further details.

In addition to this, our shop is restocked with new editions and rare titles by Anthony Burgess. Of particular interest to Burgess fans is our large collection of books owned by Burgess himself, sent to him by his publishers. These and other merchandise such as badges, stickers, and branded beers are available to buy in the cafe bookshop.

Opening times are 10am-3pm weekdays.
