"What’s it going to be then, eh?"
One can never really tell “what’s it going to be” in the works of Anthony Burgess, but the Trustees and employees of the International Anthony Burgess Foundation offer very sincere apologies for the disruption to this website since the sad passing of Anthony’s widow, Liana Macellari Burgess, or, to use her full title, the Contessa Pasi della Pergola, in December of 2007. Liana was the driving force behind the creation of the Foundation. Her friends and all who knew her will miss her energy, her sense of humour and her feisty spirit. In working to preserve Anthony’s memory and help in the preservation and dissemination of his work, she is indefatigable.
We are working hard to revise and redevelop this website, and we sincerely hope that you will continue to visit us in order to join our discussion board and perhaps even contribute to the End of the World Newsletter which will be published here again shortly.
