We’re delighted to announce that the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra will be launching their 2013/14 year-long celebration of the Mancunian way of music-making with A Manchester Overture by Anthony Burgess, as part of a concert including Juanjo Mena’s first performance of Elgar’s First Symphony, and Brahms’s tempestuous First Piano Concerto by the Manchester-trained Stephen Hough. The concert is at the Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley St  Manchester, M2 3WS and tickets are £10-£35 from here.
