Decompositions is a series of improvised, collaborative process-pieces in which pieces of early music are taken apart, expanded and explored by the duo in real time.

Combining early music techniques such as ornamentation and canons with contemporary practices such as deep listening and extended techniques, the two musicians act like enzymes decomposing organic matter, musicians collaboratively weave an improvised tissue of timbres, intervals and silences that emerge from the diffraction of a score of early music.
