We are delighted to welcome the J.B. Priestley Society to the International Anthony Burgess Foundation for their annual lecture. Dr Andrew Biswell will speak on ‘English Anxieties: J.B.Priestley and Anthony Burgess’, looking at the affinities between Priestley and Burgess as writers from the north of England, with particular reference to Burgess’s critical writings about Priestley, including reviews, profiles, obituaries and his assessment of Vincent Brome’s biography. All are welcome.
