2026 marks 35 years of indie publisher Headpress, and we’re returning to our birthplace of Manchester to mark the occasion with a day of author talks. You can expect:

• A panel on Nigel Kneale’s legacy with some of the foremost experts on Kneale’s work

• A soundtracked exploration of the esoteric in music, curated by Headpress authors

• New Voices in Horror panel, showcasing student short film The Shedding (2025)

• A Q&A with Nekromantik director Jörg Buttgereit and Headpress founder David Kerekes, author of Sex Murder Art: The Films of Jörg Buttgereit

• Book buying and signing opportunities throughout the day

• Plus free Headpress goodies
