Part of the 2025 Manchester Animation Festival

BAFTA-winning filmmaker and animator Will Anderson joins us for an in-person and in-depth look at his work and creative process. Known for his character-driven, dialogue-led stories that blend humour with existential themes, Will Anderson’s work spans both 2D and 3D design. His acclaimed films include the feature A Cat Called Dom, as well as short films Have Heart, Monkey Love Experiments and his breakout film The Making of Longbird. With commissions and support from BBC, BFI, [adult swim], Warner Bros. Discovery and more, Will is at MAF to share insights into his projects, process and the ideas that drive his storytelling.

Will Anderson is a BAFTA-winning filmmaker and animator from Scotland. Edinburgh based, he writes, directs & produces lots of character driven, dialogue-led animated work for film, tv, theatre & online.
