About the Foundation:

The International Anthony Burgess Foundation encourages and supports public and scholarly interest in all aspects of the life and work of Anthony Burgess. Based in Manchester, England, we have an extensive library, archive and study centre containing Burgess’s books, music and papers. We also have a performance venue where we present new work by writers, artists and musicians.

Established in 2003 by Liana Burgess (1929-2007), the Anthony Burgess Foundation is an independent educational charity which welcomes all individuals and institutions with an interest in Burgess’s work.

The Estate of Anthony Burgess is represented by David Higham Associates. All enquiries regarding translations, permissions, books, poetry, theatre, film, television or journalism rights should be directed to dha@davidhigham.co.uk or 020 7434 5900.

The Foundation is open for pre-booked archive visits and public events. All events are listed on the homepage of the website.
